BORFLEX® has several modern, high-performance processing units for processing polyurethanes:

- Ribbon-Flow technology for cylinder lining (manufacture of revolving parts without tools),
- centrifuge for the production of plates,
- low-pressure casting machine for the production of complex shaped parts.

VULFAC® is a range of elastomers developed by the BORFLEX® group.

· VULFAC® systems offer:
· a high level of physical and mechanical properties (VULFAC® HR and RL),
· high resilience (VULFAC® RL),
· high resistance to hydrolysis (VULFAC® RL),
· high resistance to abrasion and tearing (VULFAC® HR),
· excellent resistance to oils, greases and fuels (VULFAC® HR).

BORSIL

BORSIL® is a range of silicone elastomers designed for use in extreme conditions of temperature and chemical resistance (fluorinated silicones).

Different families of silicones can be distinguished:

· standard temperature silicones with a continuous temperature resistance of -50°C to +200°C which can be increased to 250°C,
· high-tear silicones, these are standard silicones with a high tear strength,
· high resilience silicones with low DRC (compression set),
· low temperature silicones with a continuous temperature resistance from -110°C to +200°C,
· VHT (very high temperature) silicones with a continuous temperature resistance from -50°C to +300°C,
· electrically and thermally conductive silicones,
· "smart" silicones of the photoluminescent type (three colors available) or thermochromic type (choice of temperature and transition color, programmable three colors and three temperatures).

The BORSIL® range of blends can meet the specifications of aeronautical specifications 50, 52, 53 and 54 for silicones, and 61 and 63 for fluorinated silicones.

Range of fire resistant performance elastomers

Numerous European directives have been published to ensure rail interoperability between the member countries of the European Union.

A harmonised standard, EN 45545, came into force in 2013: it defines the requirements that must govern the choice of materials, taking into account the dangers involved (toxic gases, smoke, etc.).

BORFLEX® has developed FLAMESTOP®, a range of technically and financially efficient elastomers.

FLEXCOAT

Protection and repair of metal inserts by our composite process

Many parts are used in very aggressive environments, such as the squeegee rollers of pickling lines in the steel industry. The absence or poor chemical protection of the metal core causes severe damage. In the most serious cases, the steel carrier will even be rejected.

Advantages of replacing ebonite with composite :

· superior mechanical resistance (ebonite is fragile to shocks)
· exceptional chemical resistance (specially formulated resin)
· greatly improved adhesion
· superior thermal stability which makes it possible to preserve the undercoat during the various relinings of the tables (very significant financial gains)
· safeguarding of the metal part (multiple stripping)
· relining to restore the initial iron diameter for old carriers
· repairing of carriers damaged by corrosion

FLEXIBORE

Thermal neutron absorption

BORFLEX® is a French and European leader in technical rubber parts.

ISO-9001 certified for several years, we have developed and perfected the mixing of rubber with B4C powder. Our factory is equipped to make and cut soft B4C sheets after calendering.

FLEXIBORE® is a material made of natural rubber and B4C powder.

Fifty percent of the weight of FLEXIBORE® sheet is B4C. The B10 in the material absorbs neutrons. Scattering is negligible compared to neutron absorption. FLEXIBORE® is also used in neutron spectrometry to reduce background noise.

RUBBERFLOW

RUBBERFLOW® is a range of elastomers specially designed for applications related to river and marine sealing. In addition to waterproofing, elastomers must fulfil several essential functions:

  • - abrasion resistance,
  • - resistance to tearing,
  • - the resistance to deformation,
  • - heat and cold resistance,
  • - hydrocarbon resistance,
  • - the residual deformation after compression,
  • - ageing,
  • - etc.

The mixtures in the RUBBERFLOW® range meet the specifications of the main contractors (EDF, VNF, CNR, etc.). These mixtures are intended for all types of seals:

  • - joint musical notes,

RUBBERLIFE

Elastomeric food mixtures

ANSES (the French National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety) has recently issued several alerts concerning the use of substances that are hazardous to the body (monomers, formaldehyde, etc.).

As a creator of rubber solutions, BORFLEX® places innovation at the heart of its strategy.

BORFLEX® has developed RUBBERLIFE®, a range of high-performance elastomers that perfectly meet the requirements of the most stringent standards.

Our mixtures are formulated and tested for contact with all types of foodstuffs in accordance with EC Regulation No. 1935/2004.

Migration tests are carried out and comply with the standards or decrees:

  • - NF EN 1186 parts 1, 2 and 3,
  • - Pharmacopoeia Xth edition (residual peroxide content),
  • - migration of formaldehyde,
  • - migration of primary aromatic amines,
  • - decree of 9/11/94 (French Official Journal),
  • - etc.

BORFLEX® is now active in the food sector with its sealing solutions (seals, plugs, etc.), its specific roller linings, its conveyor belts and other types of elastomer parts.
